In any discipline, to be great you must first master the fundamentals and this course is full of them!

Bringing together advanced elements of Course 1 and 2 topics, this course has helped both beginners and high level riders fine tune their communication, raise their connection and advance their horsemanship. By far the most important course you will take, and one to review throughout your horsemanship journey.

Whether you are new to Jonathan's program, or a returning student, this course is for you.

 

~ CLINIC OUTLINE ~

  • An application of the Jonathan Field Horsemanship Training Scale™ with Path, Speed, Bend & Balance 
  • Learn a circle program to develop healthy biomechanics in the horse. 
  • Find relaxation in movement with the “active neutral sweet spot”.
  • Discover how to “Stretch the elastic band” both emotionally and physically.
  • Begin leg yielding and learn how it builds to other maneuvers.
  • Improve your lead departures and build a foundation for lead changes

This entertaining "all-levels" clinic in our popular small-group format will help build a stronger partnership with your horse and keep you both on your toes and thinking ahead! 

Designed for confident riders, this clinic combines Course 1, 2 and 3 concepts with fun challenges and creative tasks to put your partnership and skills to the test.

There's no telling what Jonathan will pull out of his sleeve for this event! 

 

 

~ CLINIC OUTLINE ~

  • Build communication using the Primary Equine Language to get good body control.
  • Learn to read your horse's behaviour and understand the psychology of the horse.
  • Explore how using a purpose can bring out your horse's athletic ability without force, and build relaxation in movement along the way.
  • Learn how to "stretch the elastic band" with your horse mentally and physically to create a stronger connection.
  • Use creative exercises to help your horse find bend and balance for correct biomechanics and healthy movement.
  • Test your teaching - learn creative ways to check if your horse truly understands your communication.
  • Improve your balance and coordination as a rider and have a ton of fun along the way!

$950/rider per clinic (tax included)

*This is a small-group format clinic with a max 6 riders per group. Group 1 will ride in the AM. Group 2 will ride in the PM.

Includes: 

  • 3 full days of hands-on instruction from Jonathan for you and your horse, plus the opportunity to ask questions.
  • 3 x FREE Auditor tickets. Save them for future use or gift them to a friend.
  • A chance to purchase equipment & merchandise onsite. Save on shipping!
  • A $400 deposit is required to register. The remaining clinic balance will be due 30 days before the event.

AUDITORS

$30/person per day or $75/person for all 3 days (tax included)

HORSE/RIDER REQUIREMENTS

This clinic is open to all level of riders who are confident riding at the walk, trot, and some canter in a small group setting on the horse you bring to the clinic.

  • All riders must provide proof of current Horse Council BC Membership or equivalent insurance.
  • Riders must be at least 16yrs of age to participate. Youth riders must submit a Young Rider Authorization form for approval to participate.
  • Horses must be at least 3yrs old, have a minimum of 40 rides, be safe to ride at the walk, trot and canter in a group setting.
  • This is NOT a colt-starting clinic. If your horse is a danger to others, you will be asked to leave the clinic. No refund will be given.
  • Stallions NOT permitted.
  • We recommend safety helmets be worn during your participation in any Jonathan Field Horsemanship clinic. Riders under 18 years of age MUST wear a helmet.
  • Clinic participants must use the same horse throughout the clinic. You may not change horses or riders during the clinic.

Covered Arena: Bring your own chair and blanket for warmth/comfort.

Food:  Not available onsite. Please bring your own or travel 10 min for local restaurants.

Pets & Smoking: NOT permitted onsite. Thank you!

Stabling: Very limited board available onsite. If you're able to haul in daily, please do so.

Indoor boxstall with shavings or outdoor paddock with shelters: $40/day + tax. Self board - bring your own hay/feed and water bucket. Please pre-book with clinic Host.

Video or audio recording of any kind is NOT PERMITTED. Please pass this information on to friends/family that may be attending to watch. Photos of clinic participants are for your personal use only and may not be used for public display or commercial purposes. You may not publish, post, or display any photos of Jonathan Field, the Jonathan Field Horsemanship Centre or any member of the Jonathan Field Horsemanship team without their written consent.

PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY

Payments accepted by Visa/Mastercard or Etransfer.

A $400 deposit per clinic is required to secure your rider spot in the clinic. Deposits are non-refundable, non-creditable and non transferrable. 

Remaining balances are due 30 days before the clinic. This includes stabling and accommodation fees. Balance payments are non-refundable and non-transferrable, and can only be applied to a credit.

CANCELLATION:
If you cancel out of the clinic at any time, the $400 deposit is forfeited. Your balance payment will then be applied to a Jonathan Field Horsemanship Credit, less a $50 Cancellation Transaction Fee.

IF we are able to fill your clinic spot with another rider, then both your deposit and balance will be applied to a Jonathan Field Horsemanship Credit (less the $50 Cancellation Transaction Fee.) Credits are valid for 2 years and can be used to purchase Jonathan Field Horsemanship merchandise, equipment, DVDs, an Open Field Membership, or applied to a future clinic/camp, if space permits.
