In any discipline, to be great you must first master the fundamentals and this course is full of them! By understanding the nature of the horse you'll learn how to establish and effective communication on the ground and riding to safely create a willing, responsive partner in your horse.

This is by far the most important course you will take and one to review throughout your horsemanship journey!

COURSE 1 ~ OUTLINE

  • Learn an introduction to the first levels of the Jonathan Field Training Scale™️ with Path & Speed.
  • Focus on leadership and safety, both on the ground and riding.
  • Learn to read horse behaviour through the 6C's™️ and understand the psychology of the horse.
  • Build better communication using the Primary Equine Language™️ to get good body control on the ground and riding.
  • Learn effective body positions and proper use of aids while riding to improve your equitation and become a better rider.
  • Learn a canter program to build confidence in you and your horse.
✴ Each clinic has a different dynamic of people and horses. Some lessons may be focused on more than others, including some not mentioned here. If one of these goals is important to you, please mention so at the beginning of the clinic.
