Jonathan is an internationally acclaimed horseman, clinician, presenter, mentor, and author dedicated to helping people become better with horses.
With a diverse equestrian background, exceptional teaching skills, and a committement to meaningful change, he's a sought-after presenter and clinician at top events across North America.
A foundation specialist, Jonathan focuses on developing feel—the ability to read and respond to the horse—on the ground, under saddle, and at liberty. Rooted in classical principles, his program emphasizes healthy biomechanics and the horse's mental and physical well-being.
It's the foundation every horse and horse person should have—for any discipline or activity.

Confidence + Connection
This clinic is designed for riders who want real progress through repetition, structure and a focused group format.
Over three days, we'll work through a blend of groundwork and riding that builds a safer, softer and more willing horse.
We'll focus on:
- Clarity, feel and timing
- Reading behaviour and building confidence
- Balance, posture and self-carriage
- Equitation tips and a more comfortable canter
- Jonathan's training scale and practical troubleshooting
Group clinics like this give you direct coaching, a front row seat to observe others being coached and time to practice in between.

Format
Small Group. Big Impact.
This clinic will run in a half-day group format.
Groups like this offer direct coaching from Jonathan, a front-row seat to observe others being coached, and time to practice in between.
Participants will be broken into two groups and will remain in their respective group for all 3 days:
Group 1 will work with Jonathan in the mornings.
Group 2 will work with Jonathan in the afternoons.
Jonathan encourages participants to stay and observe the other group. Watching different horses and riders is a key part of how learning deepens.
What To Expect
Ground Skills + Riding
To keep the clinic running smooth and help you get the most our of each session, please come prepared based on the daily focus below:
Day One - Ground Skills Only: Arrive ready for groundwork, no saddles on the horses.
Day Two - Ground + Riding: Arrive saddled. The session will be half groundwork / riding.
Day Three - More Riding: Arrive saddled. Short ground warm-up, then more riding.

Millarville, Alberta, Canada
Indoor Arena
Heated indoor arena with full washrooms Limited bleacher seating or bring your own chair. No pets allowed in arena and MUST be on a leash on the grounds. No smoking in the arena; must be away from the facilities.
Food & Drink
Bring your own food & drink or plan to travel into town for nearest restaurants. Saturday only - food trucks will be available onsite for the Summer Market (no dogs allowed in the Market area).
Stabling
Please contact Clinic Host for details.
Camping
Dry camping available onsite for participants only and by request to the clinic host.
What To Bring
Your horse, a halter, a lead rope, bridle, saddle & saddle pad, your own hay/feed/water bucket, your own chair, and a notepad & pen (optional).
